Prof. Kaleniuk O.S., and 2nd-year student Yakovenko M.Yu. <\/em>made a working visit to <strong>University of Trento<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unitn.it\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">University of Trento<\/a>and <strong>Edmund Mach Foundation<\/strong>\u00a0(<a href=\"https:\/\/fmach.it\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Edmund Mach Foundation<\/a>) in San Michele. The visit was another step in the development of the department's international scientific and educational partnership, which actively implements digital solutions in energy, agroecology, and data analytics.<\/p><h3 data-start=\"1115\" data-end=\"1153\"><strong>Meetings with<\/strong> scientific<strong> Partners<\/strong><\/h3><p data-start=\"1155\" data-end=\"1216\">During the visit, substantive meetings were held with representatives of:<\/p><ul><li data-start=\"1220\" data-end=\"1281\">Faculty of Information Engineering and Computer Science (DISI);<\/li><li data-start=\"1284\" data-end=\"1307\">Centre for Agro-Competencies;<\/li><li data-start=\"1310\" data-end=\"1349\">University of Trento International Office;<\/li><li data-start=\"1352\" data-end=\"1409\">by the scientists and administration of the Edmund Mach Foundation.<\/li><\/ul><h3 data-start=\"1416\" data-end=\"1452\">Presentation of the department's achievements<\/h3><p data-start=\"1454\" data-end=\"1695\">During their visit to San Michele, the delegation was acquainted with the Foundation's laboratory infrastructure and its scientific activities in the field of agricultural and food technologies.<br data-start=\"1615\" data-end=\"1618\" \/>In turn, the CTAE department presented research findings in the following areas:<\/p><ul><li data-start=\"1699\" data-end=\"1719\">spectrogram processing;<\/li><li data-start=\"1722\" data-end=\"1747\">hyperspectral analysis;<\/li><li data-start=\"1750\" data-end=\"1773\">Image rendering;<\/li><li data-start=\"1776\" data-end=\"1823\">Creation of an atlas of alternative energy sources.<\/li><\/ul><h3 data-start=\"1830\" data-end=\"1878\">Cooperation plans and academic mobility<\/h3><p data-start=\"1880\" data-end=\"2000\">As a result of the meetings, agreements have been reached which open new opportunities for students and lecturers of the CTE department:<\/p><ul><li data-start=\"2004\" data-end=\"2104\">Joint preparation <strong data-start=\"2025\" data-end=\"2047\">grant project<\/strong> in the field of digital analysis of agricultural and environmental data;<\/li><li data-start=\"2107\" data-end=\"2281\"><strong data-start=\"2107\" data-end=\"2154\">Collaborative work on spectroscopic data<\/strong>, accumulated by the European side over many years \u2014 involving Ukrainian students in research activities;<\/li><li data-start=\"2284\" data-end=\"2320\"><strong data-start=\"2284\" data-end=\"2310\">Academic mobility<\/strong>, in particular:<\/li><li data-start=\"2325\" data-end=\"2390\">the training of CTE students in the fourth year at the University of Trento;<\/li><li data-start=\"2395\" data-end=\"2457\">acquisition <strong data-start=\"2404\" data-end=\"2426\">dual degree<\/strong> \u2014 Ukrainian and Italian;<\/li><li data-start=\"2462\" data-end=\"2518\">The possibility of continuing postgraduate studies in Italy;<\/li><li data-start=\"2523\" data-end=\"2642\">participation in <strong data-start=\"2532\" data-end=\"2579\">joint courses, internships, summer schools<\/strong>, research projects in the laboratories of European partners.<\/li><\/ul><p data-start=\"2644\" data-end=\"2863\">The department provides comprehensive support to students during their participation in academic mobility programmes (particularly Erasmus+), document preparation, adaptation to a new environment, and integration into international research communities.<\/p><h3 data-start=\"2870\" data-end=\"2906\">Priority areas for cooperation<\/h3><p data-start=\"2908\" data-end=\"3017\">Representatives of the DISI faculty have confirmed their readiness for joint activities in the following strategic areas:<\/p><ul><li data-start=\"3021\" data-end=\"3038\">Machine learning;<\/li><li data-start=\"3041\" data-end=\"3068\">human-machine interfaces;<\/li><li data-start=\"3071\" data-end=\"3116\">Computer vision and digital image processing;<\/li><li data-start=\"3119\" data-end=\"3150\">Mathematical optimisation methods;<\/li><li data-start=\"3153\" data-end=\"3184\">Digital energy technologies.<\/li><\/ul><p>These directions are already actively implemented in the department's educational courses and form the basis of scientific developments by lecturers and postgraduate students.<\/p><h3>Next steps<\/h3><p data-start=\"3333\" data-end=\"3459\">Despite the limited timeframe, the parties agreed to continue discussions on joint initiatives in June 2025 in an online format.<\/p><h3 data-start=\"3466\" data-end=\"3525\">New opportunities for students and teachers<\/h3><p data-start=\"3527\" data-end=\"3550\">Following the visit:<\/p><ul><li data-start=\"3554\" data-end=\"3591\">New international contacts have been established.;<\/li><li data-start=\"3594\" data-end=\"3661\">Agreements have been reached on joint scientific and educational projects.;<\/li><li data-start=\"3664\" data-end=\"3715\">Partnership initiated with the Edmund Mach Foundation;<\/li><li data-start=\"3718\" data-end=\"3776\">A permanent channel of interaction with the University of Trento has been opened.<\/li><\/ul><p>This confirms the high level of expertise of the department's academic staff and the recognition of our students' potential internationally.<\/p><p data-start=\"576\" data-end=\"884\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\"><em><strong>The Department of Digital Technologies in Energy offers modern education, access to cutting-edge research, and real opportunities for international academic mobility.<\/strong> By choosing to study in the Department of Heat and Power Engineering, you become part of a scientific community that actively
