The career guidance work of the Department of Digital Technologies in Energy is gaining momentum. This time, Associate Professors Kubliy Larisa Ivanivna and Donets Andriy Heorhiiovych visited School No. 189 to introduce senior pupils to the unique opportunities offered by studying at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. The meeting was held in the format of an open dialogue about the future of the IT industry. Representatives of the department shared insights with the pupils into what modern education in Computer scienceComputer Science looks like, which skills are most valued by employers, and why now is the best time to start a career in the technology sector. The pupils showed particular interest in the stories about real student projects, as well as the department’s research in Artificial intelligence and computer graphics.
The school students were actively interested in the details: from which subjects are required for the national entrance exams to the specific technologies they would study at the department. The lecturers explained in detail that students master modern programming languages, work with big data, study machine learning and create their own technology start-ups.
The atmosphere of the meeting was exceptionally warm and friendly. The Department of Digital Technologies in Energy sincerely thanks the administration and teaching staff of School No. 189 for their hospitality, support, and assistance in organising the event.
