ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The aim of educating students is to produce specialists who can undertake almost all tasks requiring the use of computing and information technology, and who will also be able to adapt to future changes and improvements in computer technology.

The department has many young lecturers who work in modern companies.

Among our employees are Samsung programmers, banking system developers, Java developers, full-stack programmers, web programmers and web designers, computer game developers, and creators of their own software products.

The founders of the department are practitioners, not just theorists.

Leading figures from the department programmed the control system for the «Buran» spacecraft (the equivalent of the American Space Shuttle).

Programming from the first year

Our students learn to program from their first year and throughout their studies. Various programming languages are used. The curriculum is not overloaded with mathematics and hardware. The emphasis is on applied programming.

Real IT employment

From their third and fourth years, most of our students combine their studies with work in their chosen field.
