The Department of Digital Technologies in Energy continues its active work with prospective applicants. This time, the meeting place was School No. 298, where the department's team held a career guidance presentation for 11th-grade students.
The special feature of this meeting was that, along with experienced teachers – Donets A.G., Demchyshyn A.A. the By Gurin A.L. – visited the schoolchildren Postgraduate student Baranichenko A. This combination gave the Year 11 pupils the chance to see the department from a variety of perspectives: from official information about admissions to the personal experiences of those who were students themselves only a short while ago.
The teachers presented Computer Science“ On the Department of CTE National Aviation University of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, spoke about the educational process, opportunities for development, and employment prospects in IT industry. Schoolchildren learned about the specifics of the admissions campaign, the requirements for applicants, and how to prepare for studies at a technical university.
The presence of the postgraduate student added special value to the meeting – the schoolchildren were able to hear a “fresh” perspective on student life, and learn about the real challenges and opportunities that await first-year students. Baranichenko A. shared his own learning experience, spoke about scientific work in the department, and how one can develop academically after receiving a bachelor's degree.
Pupils actively asked questions about the specifics Computer science, student life at KPI, opportunities for self-realisation and what a typical day for a technical student looks like. The atmosphere of the meeting was friendly and productive – the schoolchildren felt they were communicating not just with representatives of the university, but with people genuinely interested in their future.
