How to choose a profession that will be relevant in 10 years? What skills should be developed now? Is it worth going into IT if it seems difficult? Pupils of School No. 229, together with lecturers from the Department of Digital Technologies in Energy, sought answers to these and dozens of other questions.
Associate professors Hurin Artem Leonidovych, Demchyshyn Anatoliy Anatoliyovych and Kubliy Larisa Ivanivna The high-school students were presented not just with a university or a degree programme – they were opened the door to the world of modern technologies, where theory meets practice, and students become the authors of real innovative projects.
The meeting was full of lively discussion and energy. The lecturers debunked popular myths about studying at a technical university and shared success stories of the department's graduates who are now working in leading companies. IT companies and start-ups. The pupils were particularly captivated by the story of how students from the the Department of Digital Technologies in Energy create their own applications and participate in international programming competitions they publish scientific research.
Artem Hurin stressed the importance of choosing the right field of study right now, as digital technologies are transforming all areas of life. Anatoliyovych Demchyshyn spoke about the unique opportunities for combining fundamental education from KPI and practical skills in working with latest technologies. Larisa Kubliy shared her experience of supervising students who are already pursuing National and international awards.
