The Department of Digital Technologies in Energy has expanded beyond Kyiv, visiting a lyceum in in the city of Vyshneve. The teaching team Tikholod V.O., Bespal O.M., Donets A.H. the Demchyshyn A.A. – presented the lyceum students with the opportunities for studying the specialism “Computer Science” в National Aviation University of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
Cherry is the first city in the Kyiv region where the department brought its career guidance program this season. This format allows us to reach more talented schoolchildren from regions who have high potential for studying in technical specialties, but do not always have the opportunity to visit the university in person.
The lyceum students received comprehensive information on admission, the educational process, and prospects in IT industry. Representatives of the department spoke about the modern technologies that students study, practical training, and opportunities for self-development. Particular attention was paid to how graduates of the CTE department find their place in the labour market and build successful careers.
The meeting demonstrated a high level of interest from Visneve schoolchildren in pursuing technical education. The questions concerned not only the formal aspects of admission but also deeper issues – what specific competencies are developed in the department, how studying at KPI differs from other universities, and how student support is organised.
The format of off-site career guidance meetings has proven to be extremely effective. It gives schoolchildren from suburban towns the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the university without spending time travelling to Kyiv, and it allows the department to find motivated applicants from different regions.
