18 April 2026 At Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, a large-scale event will take place KPI Open Day. The Department of Digital Technologies in Energy (DTE) will be hosting guests at 3 floors from the H.I. Denysenko Scientific and Technical Library from 10:00 to 14:00.
What is the Department of Digital Technologies in Energy?
The Department of Digital Technologies in Energy at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute is a modern educational and research centre that provides training in the specialty F3 «Computer Science». The department trains highly qualified IT specialists with the skills to develop software, work with artificial intelligence, big data, geographic information systems, and digital solutions for energy, ecology, and medicine.
Students on the course study modern programming languages – Python, Java, C#, JavaScript and C++ – and work with leading DBMSs and development environments. The course combines theory with practical experience: the department collaborates with SoftServe, which opens up a direct path to employment in the IT sector for students.
The department offers training at all levels: Bachelor's (3 years 10 months), Master's – both educational-professional and educational-scientific – and PhD in «Computer Science». Full-time and part-time study are available.
Graduates of the department are successfully employed at Google, SoftServe, EPAM Systems, GlobalLogic, DTEK, the National Bank of Ukraine, and other leading companies in Ukraine and the world.
The department is a participant in the Erasmus+ programme, which allows students to study at foreign universities. Joint research projects are also conducted with universities and companies in Italy, the Czech Republic, Portugal, the USA, and other countries.
